Georgia decide flubs verdict studying, tells defendant he’s responsible

A Fulton County decide misspoke whereas studying a defendant’s verdict in a Georgia courtroom Friday, telling him he was responsible when the jury deemed him not responsible.

Alton Oliver was on trial over the 2022 killing of a Fulton County deputy and confronted six counts, together with three of homicide, NBC affiliate WXIA of Atlanta reported.

Video from contained in the courtroom reveals the second the decide by chance instructed Oliver he was responsible.

After confirming with the jury that the paperwork was right, the decide learn the decision: “We the jury discover the defendant responsible as to all six counts.”
