AEW President Tony Khan has been vocal a couple of latest debate regarding WWE and AAA. Dragon Lee’s WWE signing is usually thought of controversial. Regardless of figuring out that the star was going to WWE, AAA put him in a match in opposition to FTR, and the latter needed to lose a significant championship to Dragon Lee.

AEW stars dropping to a future WWE signee apparently did not sit proper with Tony, and he referred to it as a double-cross. Lately, a report revealed that RUSH was going to be part of the competition, which Tony Khan was advantageous with. As a substitute, Dragon Lee ended up within the bout.

Whereas talking on Protecting It Official 100, WCW veteran and AAA inventive staff member Konnan claimed that Tony Khan’s assertion is ‘incorrect’ as RUSH was by no means going to be a part of the tag staff and there was no double cross.

“He is incorrect. I’ve already advised the story varied instances, and my model is right. He is providing you with some ‘I wanna look good on this interview. I am the sufferer,’ kind story… He claims that RUSH was presupposed to be in that match with Dralistico’s brother. He was advised forward of time that RUSH didn’t wanna be a part of a tag staff. He wished to be a singles star, and we’re gonna put any person else in his place, probably Dragon Lee. So, I am undecided the place the double cross is,” he mentioned. [00:53 – 01:30]

Tony Khan mentioned CMLL won’t ever betray AEW

The alleged double-cross made relations between AEW and AAA worse. The latter promotion is now part of WWE after an acquisition.

Whereas talking on Q101 Chicago, Tony mentioned that he’s very shut with CMLL President Salvador, and he would by no means betray like AAA did beforehand.

“That is a kind of issues that might by no means occur now. [CMLL President] Salvador and I are brothers. Like, I’ve a really shut relationship with him. I do not consider he would ever betray me like that, and I’d by no means betray him like that,” he mentioned.
