Belief in consultants is down. In every kind of establishments and professions – in authorities, in media, in medical science… and these days, economists are feeling the burn acutely. In actual fact, President Trump simply fired the economist who ran the Bureau of Labor Statistics, accusing her – with no proof – of faking a jobs report that confirmed fewer features than anticipated.

In a long time previous, economists whispered within the ears of presidents. Now, many politicians and voters are disenchanted with the sphere.
