Dozens killed in violent clashes in predominantly Druze Syrian metropolis

At the very least 37 folks have been killed in violent clashes between Bedouin tribes and native Druze fighters within the southern Syrian metropolis of Sweida, a conflict monitor reported Monday, marking the deadliest bout of unrest within the area since Could. The unrest has prompted the Syrian authorities to deploy safety forces in a bid to revive order, as fears develop of renewed instability within the Druze-majority province.
