Ellen DeGeneres is standing by Rosie O’Donnell following a submit from President Donald Trump, who recommended revoking Rosie’s U.S. citizenship.
On Sunday, DeGeneres took to Instagram to face behind O’Donnell, writing, “Good for you @rosie,” in response to Rosie’s sharp rebuttal of Trump’s message.
The controversy first erupted Saturday when the previous president took to his Reality Social platform, claiming he was “critically contemplating” eradicating O’Donnell’s citizenship. “She is a Menace to Humanity,” he wrote, “and will stay within the great Nation of Eire, if they need her.”
O’Donnell responded writing, “Hey donald — you’re rattled once more? 18 years later and I nonetheless dwell rent-free in that collapsing mind of yours.”
She added, “You name me a menace to humanity — however I’m the whole lot you concern: a loud girl, a queer girl, a mom who tells the reality, an American who obtained in a foreign country b4 u set it ablaze.”
