Tyson Fury made an early morning run to Tesco on the Isle of Man, dressed in Crocs and pyjamas, as preparations ramp up for his daughter Venezuela’s wedding scheduled for Saturday.
Family Tension Over Young Bride
The 37-year-old boxing champion, amid a family dispute, stocked up on strawberries, juice, and water. His father, John Fury, 60, has voiced strong opposition, calling 16-year-old Venezuela too immature for marriage to 19-year-old Noah Price.
John expressed his concerns during a family discussion on At Home With The Furys, telling sons Tyson and Tommy, 27: “They’re children! I don’t think she’s mature enough for anything like that—she’s still a baby.” He added, “On my watch, a 15-year-old should never have a boyfriend, never.”
Venezuela’s Wedding Plans
Noah proposed to Venezuela at her 16th birthday party last year, and the couple quickly began organizing the event. In a recent TikTok video, Venezuela shared her dress fittings: “So guys, I just went to try on my wedding dress and my second dress as well. I think it is absolutely unreal, both of them.” She debated footwear: “Do I wear white New Balance trainers or white Crocs?”
Tyson loaded his shopping trolley into his van, showcasing his frugal habits often seen in his Netflix series.
Parents’ Support Despite Doubts
Tyson remains supportive, noting his own early engagement at 18 to wife Paris, then 17. Paris, 36, defended her daughter on This Morning: “Venezuela is so mature for her years. She’s done so much in such a short time… I can’t deny her because I was 17 when I got engaged. She’s obviously following in my footsteps.”
During the proposal talk, Tyson cautioned Venezuela: “Marriage is forever… So it’s a lifetime commitment and however old you are, 16-year-old, are you ready for a lifetime commitment to somebody you barely know?” He praised Noah as a “decent fella” and “sensible lad.”
The couple kept their relationship private before going public on Instagram months before the proposal. Noah first sought Tyson’s permission, leading to the surprise at the party.
