Venezuela Fury faces a family dispute just days before her wedding to Noah Price on Saturday. Her grandfather, John Fury, has voiced strong objections to the 16-year-old’s maturity, creating tension that could mar the celebration.

John Fury’s Strong Objections to the Marriage

John Fury, 60, openly questions whether Venezuela is ready for marriage. During a family discussion featured on At Home With The Furys, he told sons Tyson, 37, and Tommy, 27, that she remains “still a baby.” He emphasized, “They’re children! I don’t think she’s mature enough for anything like that.”

John added that on his watch, a 15-year-old should never have a boyfriend. Tyson countered that Venezuela turns 16 soon, but John stood firm in his disapproval.

Tyson and Paris Fury Offer Full Support

In contrast, Venezuela’s parents, Tyson and Paris Fury, fully back the union. Paris, 36, highlighted her daughter’s maturity on This Morning, noting, “Venezuela is so mature for her years. She’s done so much in such a short time… She’s helped bring up six younger brothers and sisters.”

Paris related it to her own experience, saying, “I was 17 when I got engaged. She’s obviously following in my footsteps, so how can I judge her? I know she’s young, but if she’s happy, I will completely support her.” Tyson, who proposed to Paris at 20 when she was 17, described Noah as a “decent fella.”

Boxing Dispute Fuels Father-Son Fallout

The rift extends beyond the wedding. John expressed anger over Tyson’s return to boxing after a 16-month retirement to face Arslanbek Makhmudov. In an interview with Playbook Boxing, John declared, “My relationship with Tyson is destroyed. Boxing destroyed it completely.”

He continued, “I’ve never taken £10 off him in my life… Don’t forget who built his story when he was a kid. He didn’t build it himself, did he? Me, his father.” John also warned that Tyson is “past his best,” criticizing those who build him up falsely.

Tyson responded calmly, stating to The Sun, “I’m unaware of what has happened but he’s entitled to his opinion… I take it with a pinch of salt.” Tommy echoed concerns about Tyson’s health in a Bloody Elbow interview, saying the family prefers he retire, though he respects Tyson’s passion.

The Romantic Proposal Story

Amid the drama, Noah, an amateur boxer, sought Tyson’s permission before proposing at Venezuela’s 16th birthday party after a year of dating. He got down on one knee in front of family and friends, thrilling Venezuela.

Tyson initially hesitated, asking, “How can I let a stranger take away my baby?” He stressed marriage’s permanence: “Marriage is forever… What God puts together can never be undone. Are you ready for a lifetime commitment?” Ultimately, he approved, noting Noah’s sensibility.

Venezuela hopes her father and grandfather set aside differences for her special day.
