The New York Yankees concluded their three-game series on Wednesday, suffering a 7-0 shutout loss to the Baltimore Orioles. It’s been a tough stretch of road games for the Yankees as they look to rebound when they face the New York Mets at Citi Field.
Following the series finale, Aaron Judge commented on the team’s offensive performance, pointing to what he called the “ebbs and flows of the season.”
“It’s a tough road trip. You’re gonna have two or three of those during the year, and it’s about how you respond. Nothing we can do about it now. Went into Milwaukee, they took care of business here, and a couple of close games that we could have won, and same thing here. Just a tough road trip.”

“We just got to respond when we get back to New York…it’s ebbs and flow of the season. A couple tough stretches. This year is not really getting a chance with too many guys on base,” Aaron Judge said.
However, his comments drew criticism from fans on social media, with several expressing dissatisfaction over his team’s performance review.
“What a stupid answer. When is this getting rolling gonna happen?”
“Worst leader ever.”
“Judge will never own a World Series…Such a f***ing loser!”
“Most generic sh*t I ever heard lmao I can’t with this guy.”
“I hate when he talks like this. We all see how terrible this team is.”
“Says the same shit every season dude is a soft af.”
Aaron Judge further added that “not one guy can do it all.” He believes once they start “rolling,” it’s going to be “special” this year.
Aaron Judge opens up about urgency to World Series Championship
The New York Yankees came close to winning the World Series ring in 2024 but lost 4-1 to the Los Angeles Dodgers after dropping the first three games in the series. In 2025, they qualified for the playoffs but exited after losing to the Toronto Blue Jays in the ALDS.
This year, the team is aspiring for the championship once again with Aaron Judge’s urgency to win the World Series being at an “all-time high”.
“There’s not an extra urgency [to] my will to win and my will to bring a championship back here. That’s always been at the highest every single year,” Aaron Judge said.
“But I think the urgency of what I can give back to this game, what I can give back to my teammates, is at an all-time high every single year because there’s guys in this room that I only get to play with this year. I’ll never see them again. So, what kind of impact can I have on them to further their career and help us win games?”
Judge feels like aiming for the postseason is like “taking a test”, and it gets better as time goes by. He said that the urgency has always been there, and it doesn’t matter what his age is; he’s always going to aim for the ring.
