Christian Yelich, a first-round selection of the Miami Marlins in the 2017 MLB draft, is a left fielder of the Milwaukee Brewers. The Marlins traded him to the Brewers on Jan. 25, 2018.

Yelich was born on Dec. 5, 1991, in Thousand Oaks, California. He has been in a relationship with Paige Noel Almendariz since at least late 2025.

Yelich’s girlfriend was born on Oct. 19, 1997, in Sacramento, California, to Joy Almendariz. She is an accomplished ballerina, having trained with the Crockett-Deane Ballet Company from 2011 to 2016.

Almendariz attended West Sacramento Early College Prep Charter High School and was the school’s valedictorian. She has an older sister, Brittney; a twin sister, Macy; and two younger sisters, Gret and Collette.

Brittney is a former ballerina and an NBA dancer. She is a mother of two children, Easton Wayne Dorris (born Oct. 22, 2022) and Millie Montana Dorris (born June 19, 2024).

Meanwhile, Macy is a ballerina. She has been married to Andrew Hernandez since June 13.The couple has a son, Sailor Brooks, born in November 2023.


Christian Yelich’s girlfriend’s professional career

Christian Yelich’s girlfriend, Paige Almendariz, plays as a defender for DC Power, a USL Super League club. She joined the team in July 2025, transferring from the Tampa Bay Suns FC.

Almendariz began her professional career in Portugal with Lank FC Vilaverdense for the 2020-2021 season. Her steady defensive performances earned her a transfer to SC Braga. She played there from 2021 to 2023.

Almendarz’s breakout success came after her move to S.L. Benfica for the 2023-2024 season. At Benefica, she scored two goals in 18 appearances.She helped Benefica win four domestic trophies and reach the UEFA Women’s Champions League quarter finals.

Amendariz returned to the United States for the inaugural 2024-2025 USL Super League season, joining the Tampa Bay Sun FC. At Tampa Bay, she appeared in 26 matches and led the team with 49 tackles, helping the team win the first regular-season title.


Christian Yelich’s girlfriend’s high school and college

Christian Yelich’s girlfriend, Paige Almendariz, didn’t play high school soccer. She focused on club competition with the Sacramento United Soccer Club.

Almendariz earned selection to the Norcal PDP state team in 2013 and 2014.She also played in a friendly match against Japan’s under-15 national team in 2014 and in a Futures Match with Sacramento Republic FC in 2015.

Almendariz’s collegiate career began in 2016 at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She started 22 of 23 games in her freshman year, earning Mountain West All-Newcomer Team selection. She primarily played the left back position.

Almendariz appeared in all 20 games in her sophomore year, of which 12 were starts.She became a full-time starter in her junior season, starting all 20 games.
