Updated driver’s points standings after Go Bowling at The Glen at Watkins Glen International

Twelve races have taken place in the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season. Trackhouse Racing driver Shane van Gisbergen secured his first win of the season after winning Go Bowling at The Glen at Watkins Glen International on Sunday, May 10.

In a thrilling Watkins Glen race, SVG grabbed the lead for the final time from Ty Gibbs with seven laps to go and held off the rest of the field to take the checkered flag.

The 100-lap road course race is done and dusted. According to the drivers’ finishes in Sunday’s race, they received points, which will determine the top 16 playoff drivers after the 26-race regular season.

After winning the race, Shane van Gisbergen gained 68 points and moved to 16th place in the points standings with 283 points. He is only six points above the points above the Chase bubble.

After finishing fifth at Watkins Glen, Tyler Reddick gained 41 points and maintained the top spot in the NASCAR Cup Series points table, extending his lead to 129 points over second-place Denny Hamlin.

The defending NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Larson finished 23rd and gained only 14 points. He held on his eighth spot in the points standings with 332 points.

Michael McDowell, who started on the front row, finished runner-up. He gained 36 points and moved to 21st place in the points table with 225 points.

Hamlin stands second, followed by Chase Elliott, Ryan Blaney, Chris Buescher, Ty Gibbs, Carson Hocevar, Kyle Larson, Ryan Preece, and Brad Keselowski to round out the top 10 in the points standings.
