Stefon Diggs fought for a Super Bowl in February, but the wide receiver was arguably fighting for much more in May. The pass catcher was at the center of a trial in which he was accused of assault and strangulation of his former chef, Mila Adams. However, he appeared to have dodged the worst of the storm, as he was found not guilty.
The video clip of the announcement has gone viral, showing what appears to be the moment Diggs learned of the dropped charges.

Diggs did not deliver a big reaction to the verdict, but fans wasted no time speculating on where the wide receiver could end up with the round of drama seemingly behind him.

“He’s the patriots plan B if brown doesn’t go there,” one posted.
“Lamar need some help🤷🏾♂️,” another posted.
“if he’s ring chasing he’ll go to LA,” one replied.
More fans made suggestions, naming various teams.
“Las Vegas. He’ll be in Vegas,” one responded.
“The Colts because they need to replace Michael Pittman as a temporary signing,” another speculated.
“let’s come home commanders,” one suggested.
Diggs remains a free agent and could sign with anyone at any time. The wide receiver played in Super Bowl 60 and has widely been credited with helping the Patriots overcome the Bills to retake the division for the first time in half a decade.

Examining Stefon Diggs landing spots after receiving case verdict

With Stefon Diggs now seemingly in the clear, he can choose his next stop. Diggs could end up returning to New England, but on a smaller deal. However, other landing spots make sense as well.
The Washington Commanders seems like the most logical fit left with a strong need at wide receiver. Without a new addition, the team will hope that Luke McCaffrey, who has never earned 225 yards in a season, can step up in his third year.
However, if that fails, two unconventional options exist. The Los Angeles Rams have a wide receiver problem brewing with Davante Adams and potentially Puka Nacua, so the team could need an extra star to fortify the room and get past the Seahawks.
However, if Los Angeles doesn’t work and Diggs’ value plummets beyond expectations due to the mere allegations or his increasing age, another option makes sense. After the Patriots moved on from Diggs, joining the Seattle Seahawks makes sense, assuming the NFL views him as a backup receiver as he heads into an age 33 season.
Diggs would be allowed to chase a Lombardi trophy with the team that kept him from hoisting his first. His presence could also free up Rashid Shaheed to be a full-time returner and serve as a backup plan if Cooper Kupp’s age takes him down another peg.
