A 26-year-old British tourist has died after falling through a glass door at a rented house in Santa Margalida, northern Majorca. Authorities discovered his body around 7:30 a.m., with shards of glass embedded in his head.
Investigation Underway in Santa Margalida
Police have questioned six individuals at the property—four men and two women—whose nationalities remain undisclosed. Witnesses reported that the group had been partying and continued consuming drugs and alcohol after returning home in the early hours.
A police source indicated: “Investigators are pursuing the theory of a tragic accident where the victim struck his head on the glass door, though it is too soon to confirm the exact circumstances.” No arrests have occurred, and an autopsy is scheduled shortly in Palma, Majorca’s capital.
The Civil Guard leads the ongoing probe. Santa Margalida, a historic agricultural town, lies near the Bay of Alcudia and roughly 30 miles from Palma Airport.
Separate Incident on Costa del Sol
In another tragedy, a 25-year-old British man was found dead on Huelin Beach in Malaga after going missing at sea. Search teams, including police, coastguards, and Red Cross personnel, had scoured the area for nearly three days following reports of a man entering the water at nearby Misericordia Beach around 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
His body appeared on the sand Saturday morning. Police confirmed his identity yesterday and stated the death is not suspicious. A National Police spokesman noted: “The deceased matches the description of the missing individual from three days prior. No evidence of criminal activity exists.” An autopsy will determine the cause, with results pending review by a local magistrate.
