Here’s what to know about the NCAA college hoops title oddsboard:
The Favorites: Duke is officially the favorite. After taking down No. 1 Michigan in Week 16, the Blue Devils took that spot and haven’t moved since. Jon Scheyer & Co. won the ACC Tournament and enter March Madness on an 11-game winning streak. With multiple injuries on the team, Duke will rely on Cameron Boozer, who is one of two players in the country averaging over 20 points per game and 10 rebounds per game. Michigan isn’t far behind, currently sitting at +370 after losing to Purdue in the Big Ten title game. Arizona is another team to watch, entering the tournament fresh off a Big 12 title and maintaining a nine-game winning streak. Rounding out the top four are the defending champion Florida Gators, coming off a 17-point loss against Vanderbilt in the SEC Tournament.
Steady Falling: A couple squads whose odds have moved in the wrong direction are UConn and St. John’s. The Huskies entered selection Sunday at +1700 to win it all and fell to +3500 after the bracket was set. St. John’s was at +5000 and fell to +6000 despite a 20-point victory over UConn in the Big East Tournament title game. Arkansas also fell from +5000 to +6000 despite beating Vanderbilt by 11 in the SEC Tournament championship.
