Game dev Cakez77’s reaction recently went viral on social media. Also a streamer, Cakez77 released a new game on March 9, 2026, and was pleasantly surprised to see that within 30 hours, his game had earned over $30,000 on Steam. Priced at approximately $10 USD, the game had been in development for roughly four years before launch.

Cakez77’s tower defense title, Tangy TD, earns him over $30K within 30 hours
Tangy TD is Cakez77’s tower defense game, where you play as a witch. Within the game, you can place class-based towers in different areas, assign them power-ups, and customize your builds to deal with enemies.
The streamer was reportedly developing the game by himself and spent four years doing so. Naturally, it would be a huge blow if it didn’t work out after such a long development cycle. However, after the game’s release, when Cake77 checked his sales on Steam, he learned that Tangy TD had made him roughly $31,000 in less than 30 hours.
His reaction to learning this was rather wholesome as his partner then jumped into the frame to celebrate this great achievement live on Twitch stream. The clip went viral, gaining thousands of views across various platforms with fans celebrating the couple and promoting Tangy TD to further support the dev.
In fact, the clip even managed to draw the attention of popular YouTuber MoistCr1tikal, who then played it in a video released on March 11, 2026, on his official channel. As of the time of writing, Cakez77’s game, Tangy TD, has very positive reviews on Steam, with over 200 players enjoying the work put into developing the title.
Furthermore, it also has an all-time high peak of 476 concurrent players achieved on March 11, 2026. Overall, the game has become quite popular, partly due to the streamer’s celebration and wholesome reaction as seen in the video attached above.
Though Tangy TD costs approximately $10, it can be availed for approximately $8.79 as of the time of writing.
