Colby Covington is not a happy man after being omitted from the UFC White House card. The former welterweight title challenger believed he was guaranteed to fight on the June 14 card, which is part of the America 250 celebrations.

Covington is a big Donald Trump supporter and believed that would play a part in him getting a spot on the card. In ufc/2026/03/11/colby-covington-bummed-ufc-white-house-snub-rips-piss-poor-card/89099889007/” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer” data-is-sponsored=”false”>an interview with MMA Junkie, ‘Chaos’ claimed that he just wanted to fight on the card and didn’t care who his opponent was.

While Covington was given an opponent for the end of the year, the lack of a White House card spot seems to have hurt him, despite accepting the reality:

“You’re the face that runs the place, Hunter [Campbell]. You make these decisions. If you don’t think I’m worthy of the White House card, then so be it. That’s your call.’ I’ve accepted everything that they’ve given to me.”

Covington also brought up how much he supported the current US President when no one seemed to:

“I thought that I was a shoo-in for that spot. I’m the one that brought Trump into UFC back in 2018 when no one was supporting him. There wasn’t an athlete alive that was walking around Times Square supporting him like I was, wearing the MAGA hat in Times Square with my belt and going to media tours.”

Covington added that he felt he was a certainty for the card but suggested that it was Hunter Campbell who played a part in his omission.

The welterweight was asked to call the President for a spot on the White House card, but decided not to, claiming that Trump was busy with bigger matters. However, he wasn’t all that happy with the White House card either.

The main event sees Ilia Topuria vs. Justin Gaethje for the lightweight title, while the co-main is an interim heavyweight title fight between Alex Pereira and Ciryl Gane.

Covington was not impressed with this at all and called out the fights on the card:

“It’s p*** poor at best. I think the fans have said it. The fans have spoken. The fans have said they hate it, it’s a terrible card. They promised six or seven title fights. Now they have one title fight and an interim title fight they put together last minute. The thing was just so disorganized.”

While Covington lauded Sean O’Malley’s presence on the card, he criticized the lack of quality American fighters on the card.

‘Chaos’ ended by taking shots at the UFC despite them sealing a huge Paramount+ deal, and instead believed that RAF was where the real action was:

“It just seems like they don’t care anymore. They made all that money with Paramount, and they’re just happy. It is what it is. The fans have spoken. It’s unfortunate. I think RAF is the place to be. A lot more excitement, a lot more action, and I think the future is a lot brighter for RAF.”
