Chelsea legend John Terry believes Arsenal have all but sealed the Premier League title after Manchester City slipped up against Nottingham Forest. The former defender said that the Gunners will ease to the title after beating Brighton & Hove Albion.

Speaking on his TikTok account, Terry said that he does not see Manchester City catching Arsenal after the draw to Nottingham Forest. He admitted surprise at the Premier League results this midweek and said (via Standard):

“There were some big performances and some upsets in the Premier League last night. Manchester City dropping points again, surely that’s the end of it for them after Arsenal beat Brighton as well. I didn’t see that one coming if I’m honest.”

Talking about Chelsea’s 4-1 win over Aston Villa, Terry said that he was delighted with the performance from the Blues. He claimed that the Villa Park is a tough place to visit and they have done well to come away with the three points and said:

“What a win, what a performance from the boys last night. It’s a tough place to go, Villa Park. I know Villa have not been playing well of late and not getting the results they would have liked and they’re certainly dropping off but that was a big win for us.

“We needed to win that last night and we turned up. We got a wake-up call after them scoring very early, but to respond the way we did, I thought to a man, we were absolutely excellent all over the pitch.”

Arsenal are now seven points clear of Manchester City in the Premier League table, having played a game more.

Pep Guardiola on catching Arsenal after comments from Chelsea legend

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has refused to give on the Premier League title race against Arsenal, despite the comments from Chelsea legend John Terry. He admitted that the draw hurts their chances, but they will keep going. He said (via Metro):

“I’m disappointed for the result, we did everything again, we did not concede much and we had chances at the end especially and during the game as well. We keep going. [The players] tried to do their best, when you see how they run. But of course, in a game at home and at this stage of the season, it’s important, but keep going.”

Manchester City still have to face Chelsea and Arsenal this season, while the two London sides have already faced each other twice in the league this season.
