Djordje Djokovic, the youngest brother of tennis star Novak Djokovic, evacuated his Dubai apartment with his wife and young son following an Iranian drone strike over the weekend.
Explosion Prompts Swift Evacuation
The 30-year-old resides in an apartment near the Burj Khalifa with his wife, Saska, and their son, Aleksandar. An explosion rocked the city center after Israel and the United States struck Tehran on Saturday. Iranian forces retaliated, targeting several countries including the United Arab Emirates, as the conflict escalates.
Djordje, who manages tennis business operations, left the residence with his family for safety. Reports confirm the family remains unharmed but remains vigilant amid ongoing tensions.
Family Details
Djordje married model Saska Veselinov in 2022. She is the niece of Serbian politician Dragan Veselinov. The couple welcomed son Aleksandar two years ago.
Tennis Career and Achievements
Like his siblings, Djordje pursued professional tennis, peaking at No. 1,463 in singles and No. 559 in doubles before retiring in 2017.
He transitioned successfully into tournament direction, leading the Serbia Open ATP 250 event in 2021 and 2022. In 2023, he oversaw the Srpska Open in Banja Luka. Djordje directed the Belgrade Open the following year and, in November 2025, headed the Hellenic Championship in Athens, where Novak defeated Lorenzo Musetti in three sets to claim the title.
