Tennessee Titans head coach Robert Saleh’s personal mantra is “all gas no brakes,” and according to him, his wife lives by that as well.
Speaking during a Wednesday, February 25 appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Saleh, 47, was asked about his big family and if he’s “still going.”
Saleh didn’t miss a beat, replying, “She gets me when I’m sleeping.” Host Pat McAfee cackled with laughter at the response.
Robert and his wife, Saana Saleh, married in 2007. They share sons Adam, Zane, Michael, Sam, Jacob and Robert Jr., as well as daughters Mila and Ella.
The Titans named Robert their head coach in January, his second head coaching gig. He turned heads at his introductory press conference when he brought out his entire family, posing for photos with Saana and their eight kids.
As impressive as it is for Robert to balance coaching in the NFL with being a dad to eight kids, he is just as impressed by Saana, who also operates her own non-profit.

“The fact that she still finds time to put in the amount of work that she’s put into get this thing she started and how much passion she has for this, it’s just awesome,” Robert told reporters in 2022.
He previously led the New York Jets from 2021 to 2024, going just 20-36 before he was fired five games into his fourth season.

During his Jets coaching days, he opened up to the New York Post about the impact his massive family has had on his career.
“Having tremendous amount of love from my family, and understanding when I get home, especially my little ones, they don’t know if we won, lost, they really don’t care, they just know that I walked in the door,” he said in a 2021 interview. “To have them in my life is the ultimate balancing act, and it just keeps me with my ‘why,’ and why I continue to do this, and without them, I’m not sure where I’d be.”
Robert added that his family is what drives him.
“They’re my Why,” he said. “I wake up every morning, kiss my wife, kiss my kids, every single one of ’em goodbye. They’re the reason why I wake up in the morning to do my absolute best.”
His tenure in New York, however, ended on a sour note amid rumored tension with superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers. (Rodgers, now 42, later signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he played in 2025. He has not decided on his plan for 2026.)
Rodgers addressed the rumors of a feud with his former coach during an October 2024 appearance on The Pat McAfee Show.
“As far as any of the ridiculous allegations out there, I’m not going to spend more than one sentence in response to it,” he said. “I resent any of those accusations because they’re patently false.”
But with those accusations in mind, it should be no surprise that as the clip of Robert’s spicy quip about his wife made its rounds on the internet, fans were quick to get their takes off.
“That explains why the Jets sucked,” one fan wrote via X. “He was so busy not coaching.”
“Man is fighting for his life in his own house,” another added.
