Apple has urged a court to dismiss a proposed class action lawsuit accusing the company of misleading investors on the timeline and readiness of its Apple Intelligence and Siri features, along with issues tied to the Epic Games litigation.

Defense Against AI Development Claims

In its court filing, Apple argues there is no evidence the company knew, during a June 2024 conference discussion on AI, that two advanced features for Siri would face delays. Such delays could affect iPhone 16 sales, but Apple maintains investors received no false assurances on timelines.

Epic Games Litigation and Stock Fluctuations

The lawsuit’s second claim focuses on a stock decline after Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers ruled Apple violated her original injunction on App Store commission rules. Apple’s legal team counters that the company never guaranteed its compliance procedures for the 2021 injunction would be foolproof.

Apple’s defense highlights that while its stock experienced ups and downs in 2025, linking these movements to securities fraud represents an unsupported assertion.
