Massive Drill Set to Transform STM Blue Line

Montreal’s Société de transport de Montréal (STM) recently showcased a colossal tunnel boring machine designed to excavate underground rock for the Blue Line extension. This impressive equipment will tunnel all the way to the new Anjou Metro station, boosting transit connectivity.

Operations kick off in April, with drilling projected to wrap up by 2028. The project promises significant improvements to the city’s public transit network.
