S Club member Tina Barrett has confirmed the group’s enthusiasm for reuniting on new projects, including a major arena tour set for early 2027.
Tina Barrett’s Recent Confirmation
During the Cabaret Gala Night at London’s Kit Kat Club this month, Barrett addressed rumors of the band’s return. “We haven’t parted ways; we’ve actually got some projects that we’re working on,” she told Perry Presents. “I can’t confirm anything, but yes, you will be seeing more of us, and hopefully everyone’s as excited as we are. We’ve got new stuff to show you, that’s for sure.”
Tour Details and Lineup
Rachel Stevens, Jo O’Meara, Jon Lee, and Tina Barrett have committed to the UK arena tour. Bradley McIntosh has also agreed to participate, while efforts continue to bring back Hannah Spearitt. Concerts are slated for February 2027 at major venues.
Spearitt departed the 2023 tour after a dispute over selling an interview about Paul Cattermole’s death, violating a group agreement to remain silent until the cause was determined.
An insider shared, “There is so much excitement about this tour. They have a huge fan base and a very loyal following, so S Club would be thrilled to perform for them again. It will also be a fantastic way to remember Paul, who they so desperately miss.” Some sources suggest Spearitt may rejoin despite past tensions.
Band’s Recent History
The group, formerly S Club 7, reunited in 2023 for their 25th anniversary with The Good Times Tour. Weeks after the announcement, Paul Cattermole passed away at 46 from heart failure. They proceeded with the shows and released their first new single in over 20 years, “These Are the Days,” in his memory.
Last year, Jon Lee hinted at nostalgia on social media: “I have always been a nostalgic person. The kind who clings to old songs, saved texts, and memories that seem too small to matter, yet mean everything.”
S Club’s Legacy
Formed in 1998 by Simon Fuller, S Club rose to fame with BBC’s Miami 7. Hits like “Bring It All Back” topped UK charts, followed by “S Club Party,” “Reach,” and “Never Had a Dream Come True,” which succeeded in the US. Cattermole left in 2002, and the band disbanded in 2003. Rachel Stevens pursued a solo career, reaching the final of Strictly Come Dancing in 2008.
