One of the most anticipated competitions of NBA All-Star Weekend is the 3-point Contest, which was the first of three events on Saturday at Intuit Dome.

The 2026 NBA All-Star 3-point Contest participants were:

Thanks for the submission!

  • Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard
  • Cleveland Cavaliers star Donovan Mitchell
  • Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker
  • Philadelphia 76ers star Tyrese Maxey
  • Denver Nuggets’ first-time All-Star Jamal Murray
  • Miami Heat’s first-time All-Star Norman Powell
  • Charlotte Hornets rookie Kon Knueppel
  • Milwaukee Bucks forward Bobby Portis

•

Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard, who is currently recovering from a torn Achilles, participated in the event he previously won in 2023 and 2024. Another former 3-point champion, Devin Booker (2018), also competed. Last year’s winner, Tyler Herro, did not return to defend his title.

The format of the 3-point competition has not changed from previous years. There are still five racks of five balls positioned around the 3-point line. A made shot is worth one point, and the “money balls” are counted as two points. The three players with the highest scores advance to the championship round.

New this year were two “from the logo” balls set up near the half-court logo, each worth three points.

In the first round, Devin Booker scored the highest points with 30. He was followed by Damian Lillard and Kon Knueppel, who both scored 27 points. The other participants posted respectable scores, but it was not enough to advance to the championship round.

Scores: second round (in order of competition)

PLAYERPOINTS
Kon Knueppel17
Damian Lillard29
Devin Booker27

In the second and final round, Knueppel started hot, draining four of five shots in the first rack. However, he went cold the rest of the way and finished with 17 points. Next was Lillard, who remained consistent and scored 29 points. Booker shot last but had a few misses that prevented him from catching Lillard. The Phoenix Suns star finished with 27 points in the second round.

Winner: Damian Lillard

Lillard won the third 3-point Contest title of his career, joining Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer Larry Bird and Craig Hodges as the only three-time winners of the event.
