Roses are red, violets are blue. At the airport around Valentine’s Day? Here’s what you can do.

If you’re flying around Valentine’s Day, you’ll be able to find last-minute gifts (many of them prewrapped) in some airport shops, as well as love-themed meals and cocktails at various airport restaurants and bars.

To spice things up, many airports also host Valentine’s Day activities in the terminals both before and on the official day.

Valentine’s Day airport celebrations across the US

DALLAS LOVE FIELD

Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) in Las Vegas

The pop-up marriage license bureau in the Terminal 1 baggage claim area at Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) is now open and will stay open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. until Monday, Feb. 16. Couples heading to Las Vegas to get married on or around Valentine’s Day can skip the trip to the downtown County Clerk’s office and instead pick up their license (or vow renewal certificate) at the airport pop-up. Then, they can head straight to their wedding ceremony

A Valentine’s Day-themed mural created by the Charleston, South Carolina-based duo Girls Who Paint Murals is on display this week in the Central Hall at Charleston International Airport (CHS). CHS is also hosting a pop-up floral shop with Charleston Flower Bar, offering bouquets for those who may not have had time to stop by a florist.

On Thursday, Feb. 12, there’s a Valentine’s Day-themed pop-up photo booth, and on Friday, Feb. 13, DAL will create a flower wall with complimentary blooms for passengers. Throughout this week, Lovey and Lovette, the airport’s mascots, will make surprise appearances and pass out sweets and promo items.

Philadelphia International Airport (PHL)

Today, artist Steve Teare is in Terminal 3 at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. with a complimentary selection of illustrated Valentine’s Day cards featuring messages of love and friendship. PHL passengers will be able to color their own cards and buttons. And on Friday, Feb. 13, PHL volunteers at the information counters and throughout the terminals will be handing out carnations to passengers starting at 11 a.m. until all 1,000 flowers are gone.
