The Road to WrestleMania 42 has started in WWE as its first leg, the Royal Rumble, concluded on January 31, 2026. Surprisingly, the Stamford-based promotion has released a new regulation in Las Vegas, the host city of WM42, due to ticket sales metrics.

As reported by Fightful Select, WWE will not be conducting any WrestleMania watchalongs in bars and other establishments in Las Vegas. Instead, the company is prohibiting all commercial establishments within a 50-mile radius of Allegiant Stadium from showing WM42 to their patrons.

The information comes from the Show of Shows distributor, and it is believed that this new rule has been introduced due to poor ticket sales. By the same time last year, WrestleMania 41 ticket sales were up by 16.5 percent compared to 2026. Thus, this move is a bid to boost ticket sales.

The ticket prices for WM42 are quite high. The cheapest one-day ticket for the Premium Live Event costs $266, and a two-day combo begins from $738. At the same time, the one-day price for second-row seats is $16,000, and a two-day combo can reach $46,000.

AJ Lee is still in the plans for WrestleMania 42

WWE Superstar AJ Lee is heading to the 2026 Elimination Chamber, where she will challenge Becky Lynch for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship. Interestingly, as reported by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the Stamford-based promotion still plans to field Lee at WrestleMania 42.

AJ will be facing the same opponent, Becky Lynch, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. This suggests that the feud between the two women that began when The Black Widow returned to WWE in September 2025 could conclude at WM42 or extend beyond.

EC will see Lee fight Big Time Becks on her home turf at the United Center in Chicago, where her husband, CM Punk, will defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Finn Balor. It would be interesting to see whether Lee can dethrone Lynch on February 28, 2026.
