Jill Zarin’s daughter, Ally Shapiro, defended Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show after her mom posted and deleted a video trashing the performance.

“IMO I loved it [so much],” Shapiro wrote via her Instagram Story on Monday, February 9, alongside a clip from the show. “The cinematography was fantastic. It was like they put filter over it it looked like a film.”

She added, “Best halftime show in years. Which honestly is weird to even call it that it was like a true performance with a story line and actors and the direction, lighting everything was perfect.”

Zarin Fabrics, meanwhile, pointedly distanced itself from Zarin, 62, sharing a photo of her face with a giant red “X” over it.

Bethenny Frankel is defending Bad Bunny after her former costar Jill Zarin shared her own, less-than-positive assessment of the Puerto Rican rapper’s 2026 Super Bowl halftime show performance. “So my take on Bad Bunny and his performance at the Super Bowl is that he is an artist expressing himself, his music and his experience as […]

“Zarin Fabrics stands firmly against racism, discrimination, and rhetoric that seeks to exclude or diminish people based on identity, culture, or background,” the company wrote via Instagram on Monday night. “We want to be absolutely clear that Jill Zarin has not had ownership of or been associated with Zarin Fabrics for several years. Our company operates independently, and any public statements attributed to her are made in a personal capacity and do not reflect our values, beliefs, or operations.”

The statement continued, “Zarin Fabrics is built on creativity, collaboration, and respect for the diverse communities that shape art, culture, and expression. We condemn language or viewpoints that undermine those principles, and we remain committed to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment in everything we do.”

Shapiro’s message and Zarin Fabrics’ statement came after Zarin shared and then deleted an Instagram video where she complained about Bad Bunny’s performance at Super Bowl LX on Sunday, February 8.

“It was the worst halftime show ever,” she said in the clip on Sunday. “I just don’t think it was appropriate to have it in Spanish.”

She added, “I don’t speak Spanish, I would’ve liked to have known the words he was saying. To me, it looked like a political statement because there were literally no white people in the entire thing. I’m not taking a side, one way or the other … I think it was an ICE thing. I think that the NFL sold out and it’s very sad.”

The video quickly sparked backlash, with many of Zarin’s fellow Bravo alums praising Bad Bunny, 31, and his groundbreaking performance. Luann de Lesseps, who is set to star alongside Zarin on a new E! series following OG cast members of The Real Housewives of New York City, shared an image from the halftime show via Instagram alongside the message, “Choose Love.”

One of the most talked-about and widely covered halftime performances in Super Bowl history took place this Sunday, February 8. “Qué rico es ser latino,” Bad Bunny declared at the very start of the show at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. What followed were 13 minutes filled with symbolism, history, folklore and flavor — […]

“And in terms of Jill, just … I don’t know. You know, call E!” Cohen, 57, quipped during the Monday episode of SiriusXM’s Radio Andy. “Two people who are not employed by Bravo anymore.”

Earlier this month, E! announced that Zarin and de Lesseps, 60, will appear in a new 10-episode series tentatively titled The Golden Life alongside fellow RHONY alums Kelly Bensimon, Sonja Morgan and Ramona Singer. The show is set to begin filming this spring.
