Stephen A. Smith doesn’t seem to be pleased with Bad Bunny’s halftime show at Super Bowl LX. The Puerto Rican rapper’s performance gained over 135 million views at Levi’s Stadium on Sunday.

Smith shared his honest feelings about the “Debí Tirar Más Fotos” singer on “The Stephen Smith Show” on Monday.

“Here’s my only reticence, you’re in the United States of America and you perform damn-near an entire performance in Spanish. If you didn’t understand Spanish, you were lost,” Smith said. “And most Americans don’t understand Spanish… But it also would have been nice if some of the songs were in English.”

“I thought saying that was racist,” one fan said.

@awfulannouncing I thought saying that was racist.

“Let’s bring in an Opera singer and wonder if he’s gonna be complaining about not understanding Italian. Bet you he won’t open his damn mouth,” another fan said.

“It would be nice if SAS couldn’t speak English; or anything else,” a fan said.

Here are some more reactions.

“It would be nice if some of Stephen A. Smiths rhetoric was spoken in Swahili,” one fan said.

“Amazing how his rage targets the performer but not the NFL that hired him. Outrage with blinders on,” another fan said.

“And it would be nice if we don’t have to listen to you anymore, but here you are,” a fan said.

Bad Bunny opened the Super Bowl LX halftime show amid sugar cane stalks with “Tití Me Preguntó.” He also sang Yo Perreo Sola, Safaera, Party, Voy a Llevarte Pa’ PR, EoO, Monaco, Die With a Smile (ft. Lady Gaga), Baile Inolvidable, Nuevayol, Lo Que Le Pasó a Hawaii (ft. Ricky Martin), El Apagón, Café Con Ron (ft. Los Pleneros de la Cresta) and DtMF.

Stephen A. Smith takes Donald Trump’s side while criticizing Bad Bunny

Stephen A. Smith was on the same page with U.S. President Donald Trump regarding Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl 60 halftime performance. The POTUS blasted the performance on Truth Social, calling it a “slap in the face” to America.

Smith later addressed the performance on the Mad Dog Sports radio show, saying he understood parts of Trump’s argument. He added that the idea that media praise can sometimes be driven by political bias rather than honest opinions.
