Chelsea fans on social media believe Robert Sanchez is not getting the help he needs on the pitch. The Blues defended well against Wolverhampton in the Premier League today, but still conceded a goal in their 3-1 win.
Cole Palmer scored twice from the spot and added another from close range in the first half to make it 3-0 to Liam Rosenior’s side at Wolverhampton. The Englishman became the first Premier League star to score three hat-tricks in the first half of a league match, after previously doing it against Everton and Brighton & Hove Albion.
Thanks for the submission!
While Palmer was in the limelight, some fans were talking about Sanchez and how the Golden Glove was slipping away because of a lack of support from teammates. Many claim that the goalkeeper was right to be angry after conceding a goal in the second half and posted:
Rosenior was delighted with the performance, saying that it was everything he wanted from an away game. The Chelsea manager admitted that their second-half display saw a drop in standards and said:
“First half was everything you want in an away performance. Our pressing was very good, our patterns with the ball was outstanding. We put ourselves in a really really strong position. Second half, we want more. Our standards dropped… It’s difficult because the conditions weren’t great. It was a difficult day for both teams in terms of the pitch, in terms of the rain. Overall, very very happy with an away three points.”
“It can’t really get any better can it? In terms of the Premier League. When you come into a new job at a big club, you want to make a good start. I think we’ve done that, I think we’ve got much more to go which is very exciting…”
Chelsea remain fifth in the Premier League table, a point behind Manchester United. They face Leeds United next in the Premier League on Tuesday, February 10.
Liam Rosenior delighted for Chelsea star after Wolverhampton win
Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior heaped praise on Cole Palmer after his hat-trick against Wolverhampton in the Premier League. The Englishman revealed that he loves to watch his star player on the ball and said:
“Obviously delighted for Cole [Palmer]. There’s been a lot of talk around him, about how happy he is – he looked happy today with his three goals… Cole [Palmer] loves playing football. I love watching. Not just him – the whole team. When they’re in the mood and when they do the right thing and their mentality is right, they’re an outstanding group of players…”
Cole Palmer has several goals to his name this season and will be looking to add to his tally next week.
