Lewis Capaldi expressed his gratitude to Taylor Swift after she featured him as a photographer in her star-studded music video for “Opalite.”

The 36-year-old singer unveiled the Nineties-themed video, which includes cameos from fellow guests on last year’s Graham Norton Show: Lewis Capaldi, Domhnall Gleeson, Cillian Murphy, Jodie Turner-Smith, and Greta Lee. The clip stars Domhnall Gleeson, 42, as Taylor’s love interest in a surreal storyline involving his character’s relationship with a cactus and hers with a rock. A magical spray bottle labeled Opalite brings them together.
Graham Norton, 62, promotes a rival spray in one scene, while Cillian Murphy, 49, appears in an Opalite advertisement. Lewis, 29, captures photos of Taylor and Domhnall, and Greta Lee, 42, along with Jodie Turner-Smith, 39, show up on retro TV screens.

Taylor shared on Instagram that the concept hit her during her October appearance on the BBC’s Graham Norton Show, where she promoted her album The Life of a Showgirl, featuring the track “Opalite.” Domhnall Gleeson jokingly mentioned wanting a role in one of her videos, sparking the idea.
“When we were all talking during the broadcast, Domhnall made a light-hearted joke about wanting to be in one of my music videos,” Taylor wrote. “He’s Irish! He was joking! Except that in that moment during the interview, I was instantly struck with an idea.”
One week later, she sent Gleeson a script casting him as the lead and invited the other guests, including Norton. “I had this thought that it would be wild if all of our fellow guests on the Graham Norton show that night, including Graham himself, could be a part of it too,” she added. “Like a school group project but for adults and it isn’t mandatory.”
Taylor described the experience as thrilling: “I had more fun than I ever imagined. Made new friends, metaphors, and fashion choices.” The episode aired on October 3, coinciding with her album release. During the show, she displayed her engagement ring and discussed wedding plans with Travis Kelce, saying, “You’ll know. I want to do the album stuff first, and the wedding is what happens after in terms of planning. I think it will be fun to plan.”

On Saturday, Lewis posted Instagram photos from the shoot, captioning them: “Thank you for having me @taylorswift ❤️x.”
