Perez Hilton weighed in on reports involving Bella Hadid after news emerged that the supermodel had been pulled over by police shortly before her boyfriend, Adan Banuelos, was arrested. In an article published on his website on February 5, Hilton commented on the timing of the two incidents and what they appeared to suggest.
“It turns out Bella Hadid had a brush with the law right before her boyfriend got arrested!… Well, so much for all those breakup rumors last week! That or it was the shortest split in years!” the podcaster wrote.
In the same piece, Hilton revisited Banuelos’ arrest, which took place on Saturday, January 31.
He noted that Banuelos had initially been reported as having been “busted for public intoxication in Texas over the weekend,” but added that additional details were now “coming out” that helped clarify what actually happened.
Hilton went on to outline what allegedly unfolded at the scene, citing a TMZ report dated February 4
According to TMZ (who had obtained the official documents related to the case), Hadid was “pulled over” during a traffic stop outside Gator’s Cantina in Weatherford, Texas. Banuelos reportedly approached deputies in the parking lot “to check on the supermodel,” at which point officers allegedly noticed signs that he had been drinking.
“I immediately noted that Adan’s speech was slurred and his eyes were bloodshot and glassy,” Hilton wrote, quoting the arresting officer’s account from the official documents.
Hilton further added that, according to the same documents, “the cowboy” told the officer that he was concerned about his “girlfriend” and explicitly identified Bella Hadid as his partner at the time of the encounter.
Bella Hadid and Adam Banuelos had been in a serious relationship for nearly two years, though reports surfaced in late January 2026 suggesting the couple had allegedly split. Referencing this ongoing speculation surrounding their relationship status, Hilton suggested that Banuelos identifying Hadid as his girlfriend during the arrest was enough to undermine the breakup rumors.
“If that video of the couple dancing together hours before the arrest didn’t shut down the chatter, that little detail in the doc will!” Hilton remarked.
What else did Perez Hilton say about Bella Hadid’s boyfriend, Adan Banuelos’ arrest

Referencing the aforementioned TMZ report that obtained official arrest documents, Perez Hilton shared additional information about Bella Hadid’s boyfriend, Adan Banuelos’ arrest
Hilton explained that, as per the official report, when Hadid was stopped by police during a traffic stop, and Banuelos approached the scene to check on her, the officer involved noted clear signs of alcohol consumption while talking to him.
“The officer claimed that as Adan continued to talk, there was a detectable “odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from his breath”…Police alleged the horse trainer told them Bella left her phone in the bar and he “followed her” because he “cared for her,” Hilton wrote
Hilton went on to explain that Bella Hadid’s boyfriend later admitted to consuming “four” beers throughout the day and agreed to cooperate with law enforcement by undergoing a “sobriety test.” The officer involved, however, was “determined he was intoxicated” and therefore took Banuelos “into custody” to keep him from “possibly driving a vehicle or posing a danger to himself or others.”
“I released Adan’s property and his vehicle to his girlfriend, who was identified as Isabella Hadid, at his request,” Hilton wrote, citing the arresting officer’s account from the official documents
Hilton also reported that, as per the arrest documents, Banuelos later denied driving himself to the bar and insisted that someone else had been behind the wheel. However, he reportedly refused to provide the name of the person who allegedly drove him.
Citing official documents, the podcaster said that Banuelos claimed he was at home with a friend when Hadid briefly returned, before leaving again to go back to the bar. According to the account, the 36-year-old and his friend then followed the supermodel, with Banuelos approaching the “traffic stop” while his friend went inside the bar.
Perez Hilton further noted that Banuelos was later released from Parker County Jail after paying a $386 fee. Reacting to the situation Bella Hadid was dealing with at the time, the podcaster remarked:
“What an intense few days for Bella and her man between the breakup rumors and arrest!”
Bella Hadid recently featured in an 11-episode drama series, The Beauty, which premiered on January 21, 2026, on FX and Hulu.
