Delhi Capitals (DC) beat UP Warriorz (UPW) by five wickets in the last league match of WPL 2026 at the BCA Stadium, Kotambi in Vadodara on Sunday, February 1. With the victory, DC also qualified for the Eliminator, knocking out Mumbai Indians (MI).
Bowling first after winning the toss, DC held UPW to 122-8. Seasoned pacer Marizanne Kapp stood out with figures of 3-30 from her four overs, while Chinelle Henry and Shree Charani claimed two wickets each. For UPW, only three batters crossed 20, with Deepti Sharma’s 24 off 19 being the highest score of the innings.
In the chase, DC got over the line in 18.4 overs. Laura Wolvaardt top-scored with 47 off 36 balls, while skipper Jemimah Rodrigues (34* off 18) and opener Shafali Verma (29 off 33) also made crucial contributions. For UPW, Deepti registered figures of 2-27 from 3.4 overs.
WPL 2026 Playoffs Schedule
Following the conclusion of the league stage, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) directly qualified for the WPL 2026 final. Smriti Mandhana and co. topped the points table, with 12 points from eight matches (six wins and two losses). The final of WPL 2026 will be held in Vadodara on February 5.
Gujarat Giants (GG) finished second in the points table, with 10 points from eight games (five wins and three losses). They will take on DC in the Eliminator, which will also be played at the BCA Stadium, Kotambi in Vadodara on February 3. Delhi finished third in the points table, with eight points from four matches (four wins and four losses).
