Renowned TV chef Gordon Ramsay shared that he shed tears upon seeing the price tag of his daughter Holly’s wedding dress. The 26-year-old influencer married Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty in December 2024 during a glamorous ceremony at Bath Abbey, attended by high-profile guests such as Sir David Beckham and Lady Victoria Beckham.
Emotional Moments on the Big Day
During an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, Ramsay explained his reaction, stating, “I was very emotional, I was crying because I realised how expensive the dress was then.” He emphasized that his emotions arose from deep pride in Holly’s growth into an “amazing lady.” Ramsay added, “It just gets you,” describing the heartfelt moment when he first saw her in the gown.
The bride’s elegant dress, crafted by designer Elie Saab—a specialist in bridal couture since the early 1980s—featured a high neckline, lace sleeves, and a flowing veil that trailed along the 65-meter aisle of Bath Abbey. Holly drew inspiration from the iconic wedding looks of Kate Middleton and Grace Kelly.
Holly has noted her father’s sensitivity around the event, sharing that he often becomes teary-eyed. “Dad cries every time I talk about the wedding,” she said. In one instance, while discussing their arrival car to the church, he welled up right away.

Ramsay’s interview focused on the joy of the occasion, sidestepping any reported tensions that led to Peaty’s parents, Caroline and Mark, not attending. Caroline had publicly expressed disappointment over not receiving an invitation to Holly’s hen party and initially considered attending the wedding uninvited before deciding otherwise.
Prior to the ceremony, Ramsay posted on social media: “I’m truly so lucky being able to walk this beautiful bride down the aisle and gaining an incredible son-in-law @adam_peaty! I love you so much @hollyramsayy and couldn’t be a prouder Dad xxx.”
