Chelsea staged a thrilling comeback from 2-0 down to defeat West Ham at Stamford Bridge, thanks to Enzo Fernandez’s stoppage-time strike. The hosts endured a lackluster first half, trailing at the break with few attacking ideas. Jarrod Bowen’s deflected cross caught Robert Sanchez off guard amid pressure from West Ham forwards, and Crysensio Summerville unleashed a powerful shot from distance for the second goal. Half-time changes sparked life: Joao Pedro and Wesley Fofana linked up for a quick response, Marc Cucurella headed home the equalizer, and Fernandez delivered the decisive blow.

Goalkeeper

Robert Sanchez – 6
Sanchez had minimal chance to stop either goal but struggled to inspire assurance when distributing from the back. He hesitated on the second, allowing West Ham attackers to exploit spaces behind the defense.

Defense

Malo Gusto – 6
Gusto faced a tough challenge containing Summerville, who shone against the young full-back. Still, he contributed positively by keeping possession alive and delivering a key header across goal for Cucurella’s equalizer.

Trevoh Chalobah – 6
Chalobah stood out as the steadiest defender in a shaky backline, though the overall display will fade quickly from memory.

Benoit Badiashile – 4
Badiashile’s struggles were evident, leading to his half-time withdrawal. The left flank crumbled under pressure from the visitors’ attacks.

Jorrel Hato – 3
Hato appeared overwhelmed by Bowen, who dominated proceedings and introduced the newcomer to Premier League intensity. Limited support from Alejandro Garnacho ahead exacerbated his difficulties. Replaced by Marc Cucurella.

Midfield

Moises Caicedo – 5
Caicedo fell short of his typical form, drawing visible frustration from the bench early in the second half after a wayward pass to Gusto invited danger. He picked up a late booking following another loss to Summerville.

Enzo Fernandez – 8
Thriving in a forward role amid Cole Palmer’s absence, Fernandez initially seemed adrift but found his rhythm. He arrived perfectly in the box to smash home the winner, once again proving Chelsea’s clutch performer.

Cole Palmer – 6
Palmer labored in central areas before shifting right with Joao Pedro’s entry, where he became more involved. Subtle touches emerged as the game progressed, though he required better service nearer the goal for greater influence.

Forwards

Jamie Gittens – N/A
Gittens earned a start with Pedro Neto rested and Estevao away on family matters, but an injury sidelined him after just 26 minutes.

Liam Delap – 4
Delap rotated in for rest but offered little threat, easily contained by West Ham’s central defenders.

Alejandro Garnacho – 3
Garnacho surrendered possession repeatedly within the first half-hour and neglected defensive duties against Aaron Wan-Bissaka. A disappointing outing for the talented winger.

Substitutes

Pedro Neto (26′) – 5
Neto remained subdued after entering, with chances in the final third failing to materialize.

Joao Pedro (45′) – 7
The team’s leading scorer transformed the contest from the bench, soaring to connect with Fofana’s delivery and halve the deficit.

Marc Cucurella (45′) – 7

Wesley Fofana (45′) – 6
