Early Morning Assault in Southeast Calgary
Authorities in Calgary are calling on the public to provide information that could help identify three young men involved in an assault with a weapon. The incident unfolded around 4 a.m. on January 25 in a parking lot adjacent to a convenience store located in the 4700 block of 17 Avenue S.E.
A white Honda Civic pulled into the lot, and three males exited the vehicle before confronting the victim, who was standing near the store entrance. Investigators believe one of the individuals struck the victim on the head, while the other two shouted threats and insults at him. The suspects then fled on foot, but the situation escalated when they pursued the victim aggressively, continuing to yell at him.
Details of the Confrontation
During the chase, one suspect reportedly brandished a BB gun and fired approximately five shots toward the victim. The group eventually returned to their Honda Civic and sped away westbound on 17 Avenue S.E. A vigilant security guard captured the altercation on surveillance footage and promptly alerted law enforcement.
Suspect Descriptions
All three suspects are estimated to be between 17 and 20 years old, with black hair. The first has a medium build and was dressed in a red graphic sweater, black pants, and white shoes. The second appears slim and wore a black Moose Knuckles jacket, black pants, and black shoes. The third also has a medium build and was seen in a black jacket featuring a fur-lined hood, grey sweatpants, and black sneakers accented with a white design.
