AEW star Toni Storm achieved a major milestone. She has been one of the top stars of the Jacksonville-based promotion in recent times, and her ‘Timeless’ character has been praised by many. Last year, she put on amazing matches with stars like Mercedes Mone, Kris Statlander, Athena, and Mariah May.
The former AEW Women’s World Champion also held the title for many months before eventually dropping it to Kris Statlander last September. Many assumed that she might not shine now that he has lost the gold. Contrary to that belief, she made her character more entertaining than ever. She has currently joined forces with Mina Shirakawa and is feuding with Marina Shafir.
Recently, PWI announced that Toni Storm has been crowned as the 2025 Most Popular Wrestler of the Year. Apart from her, former TBS Champion Mercedes Mone was their pick as Woman of the Year, the same award that the Timeless star won last year.
All of us at Sportkeeda Wrestling congratulate Toni Storm on her latest achievement.
WWE star Becky Lynch namedrops Toni Storm
The former AEW Women’s World Champion left WWE on good terms. She was one of the promising stars on the roster at the global sports entertainment juggernaut, but decided to join All Elite Wrestling instead. Becky Lynch, despite being in a rival company, is a huge fan of Storm.
While speaking with Billboard, when Becky Lynch was asked to name a star from any other promotion who she would like to get in the ring with, The Man named Storm. She said that she would like to lock horns with the Timeless One either in a Dublin Street Fight or a Hell in a Cell match.
“Well, I’d probably wrestle Toni Storm. I always wanted to wrestle her. I was bummed when she left, and she’s doing amazing work over there at [AEW]. It’s absolutely amazing. Let’s make it a Dublin Street Fight. I do love a good street fight or maybe a Hell in a Cell. Yeah, let’s make it a Hell in a Cell,” Lynch said.
It will be interesting to see if fans will ever get to witness the dream match down the line.
