A member of Congress was allegedly assaulted Friday night whereas attending the Sundance Movie Competition in Park Metropolis, Utah.
Rep. Maxwell Frost, D-Fla., wrote on X on Saturday: “Final evening, I used to be assaulted by a person at Sundance Competition who instructed me that Trump was going to deport me earlier than he punched me within the face.”
Frost added that the suspect “was heard screaming racist remarks as he drunkenly ran off.”
Frost mentioned the person had been arrested and that he wasn’t harm within the incident.

“Thanks to the venue safety and Park Metropolis PD for help on this incident,” he added.
Home Democratic Chief Hakeem Jeffries responded to the information on X: writing, “I’m horrified by the assault on Congressman Maxwell Frost. Grateful that he’s okay, however appalled that this terrifying assault happened. The perpetrator should be aggressively prosecuted.”

Jeffries continued: “Hate and political violence has no place in our nation, and all the Home Democratic Caucus household stands with Maxwell.”

The alleged assault happened at a celebration hosted by the CAA expertise occasion on the Excessive West Saloon, which the suspect crashed, based on Selection.
The suspect was allegedly bragging within the toilet about being “White” earlier than punching Frost within the face, the outlet reported.
