The Justice Division is investigating Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, a U.S. official mentioned. The official sought anonymity as a result of weren’t approved to debate the matter publicly.

Frey mentioned in a publish on X: “That is an apparent try to intimidate me for standing up for Minneapolis, native regulation enforcement, and residents towards the chaos and hazard this Administration has delivered to our metropolis. I cannot be intimidated.”

Walz, in a publish on X, didn’t explicitly tackle the information reviews, however mentioned: “Two days in the past it was Elissa Slotkin. Final week it was Jerome Powell.
