The Division of Homeland Safety plans to ship “tons of” of extra federal officers to Minnesota, Secretary Kristi Noem mentioned on Sunday.

Extra officers had been anticipated to reach on Sunday and Monday, the secretary mentioned in an interview that aired Sunday on Fox Information.

Homeland Safety Secretary Kristi Noem attends a press convention to debate ongoing U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations, as a part of U.S. President Donald Trump’s immigration coverage, at One World Commerce Middle in New York Metropolis, Jan. 8, 2026.

“They’re going to arrive, there will be tons of extra with a view to permit our ICE and our Border Patrol people which are working in Minneapolis to take action safely,” Noem mentioned.

She added, “We will proceed to, in the event that they conduct violent actions towards regulation enforcement, in the event that they impede our operations, that is against the law, and we’ll maintain them accountable to these penalties.”
