2 killed, 3 injured in Christmas crash on I-5 close to Pyramid Lake

Two individuals had been killed Thursday afternoon in a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 5 in northern Los Angeles County.

Authorities have but to say what brought about the crash shortly earlier than 3 p.m. within the northbound lanes close to Pyramid Lake within the Angeles Nationwide Forest. However record-breaking rains buffeted the area over the previous couple of days, inflicting site visitors delays, mudslides and flooding in some areas of the county.

Details about the victims was not instantly obtainable. Pauline McGee, a spokesperson for the L.A. County Fireplace Division, stated six individuals had been transported from the scene for remedy.

The California Freeway Patrol shut down two lanes following the crash, inflicting heavy Christmas Day site visitors.

The freeway patrol didn’t instantly reply to requests for remark.
