Skydiving aircraft goes off runway at Cross Keys Airport in Williamstown, New Jersey; 15 injured

Fifteen folks on board a skydiving plane had been injured after the small aircraft went off the runway at Cross Keys Airport in Williamstown, New Jersey, on Wednesday.

The Federal Aviation Administration stated the small aircraft, a Cessna 208B, went off the runway on the Gloucester County airport on North Tuckahoe Highway at round 5:15 p.m. Japanese Time. The FAA is investigating the incident. 

The 15 folks injured on the small aircraft had been taken to Cooper College Hospital in Camden, New Jersey, a spokesperson for the hospital stated. Three of them are “underneath analysis,” eight of the injured have much less extreme accidents and 4 of the folks on board have minimal accidents.

Cross Keys Airport is privately owned and serves many non-public passenger planes, and it is also a well-liked place to take skydiving classes.

The small aircraft was concerned in an incident in July 2023 at an airport in Suffolk, Virginia. 

Within the Nationwide Transportation Security Board’s last report from the 2023 incident, the federal company stated the pilot was getting back from her fifth skydive of the day when plane went off the runway throughout the touchdown.
