Greater than 4,000 gallons of oil and contaminated wastewater spilled in southern Monterey County following a pipeline failure early Friday, in keeping with state emergency filings.

Personal cleanup crews had been dispatched to the scene on the San Ardo Oil Subject, which was “contained to the instant space,” in keeping with reviews from discipline operator Aera Power. No accidents had been reported.
