3 Chinese language nationals charged with smuggling Nvidia, HP chips to China

Three Chinese language nationals have been charged with smuggling Nvidia and HP merchandise to China, in keeping with costs unsealed by the Justice Division on Thursday. 

Beginning in September of 2023, Hon Ning Ho, Brian Raymond, Cham Li and Jing Chen allegedly exported chips to China.

The Justice Division alleges that the three Chinese language nationals and one American have been concerned in a scheme to ship these chips to 3rd get together international locations — Thailand and Malaysia — that will then be shipped to China. The boys allegedly arrange a shell firm to buy these merchandise.

The Commerce Division has banned China from buying these chips.

The Justice Division additionally alleges that the boys mentioned methods to “evade United States export legal guidelines and rules.”

In trade for these chips, the boys obtained “kickbacks” for his or her alleged work.

In complete, the boys allegedly smuggled tons of chips to China.
