2026 Men’s NCAA Tournament Seed Projections: Purdue Moves Up After Texas Tech Loss

Fans were treated to a loaded slate of men’s college basketball games on Tuesday, which led to several notable changes in FOX Sports bracket forecaster Mike DeCourcy’s latest NCAA Tournament projections.

Most notably, Purdue jumped up to a No. 3 seed, while Texas Tech fell to the 4-line following a loss to TCU. Both Georgia and Iowa also ascended to the 8-line after Utah State fell to UNLV and UCF lost to Oklahoma State.

According to DeCourcy’s seed list, Indiana, Auburn, Cal and Virginia Tech are the first four teams out of the tournament, while Cincinnati, USC, Seton Hall and San Diego State are the next four out.

Selection Sunday is less than one month away, and this list will inevitably evolve. For now, DeCourcy’s latest seed list offers a clear snapshot of who’s rising, who’s falling and which programs are already building the résumés they’ll need when March Madness arrives.
