SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (AP) — Authorities in Utah say two males have been arrested on suspicion of putting an incendiary gadget underneath a information media car in Salt Lake Metropolis. The bomb did not go off.

Police and fireplace division bomb squads responded Friday when a suspicious gadget was discovered underneath the car parked close to an occupied constructing.

Investigators decided the bomb “had been lit however didn’t perform as designed,” in line with courtroom information cited by CBS affiliate KUTV.

The FBI recognized two suspects and served a search warrant at a house within the Magna neighborhood west of the town’s downtown. Two males, ages 58 and 31, have been arrested and will face expenses associated to weapons possession and threats of terrorism, ABC affiliate KTVX reported Sunday.

Neighboring properties have been evacuated in the course of the search, which turned up explosives and “explosive-related parts,” firearms, unlawful narcotics and different paraphernalia, courtroom information say.
