To the editor: President Trump and his sycophants in Congress have now publicly denied the authenticity of Trump’s signature on the now notorious birthday greeting to Jeffrey Epstein in a 2003 birthday e book (“Democrats launch suggestive letter to Epstein purportedly signed by Trump, which he denies,” Sept. 8). What they fail to account for is that for his or her statements to be true, it will imply that, manner again 22 years in the past, some unknown forger must have created this doc and managed to get it into Epstein’s birthday e book — for what motive? As a result of they in some way knew that Trump would sometime not solely run for president, however truly win?
It will be laughable if it weren’t so unhappy. I recall again after I was in class listening to concerning the precept of parsimony. It signifies that, when confronted with a number of options (or, on this case, a number of variations of the reality), the best reply is nearly all the time appropriate.

To the editor: Let the trial start, or maybe not. As reported within the Los Angeles Instances, Trump has sued the Wall Avenue Journal, alleging defamation. For the reason that Journal’s finest protection can be the reality, it appears it and Trump have a easy query to reply: Did he put together the birthday tribute card/letter or, on the very least, signal the doc?
Having filed the motion, Trump ought to hand over his golf days and take part in offering testimony below oath and perhaps even submit handwriting samples. Herald handwriting and forensics consultants, give testimony concerning the birthday e book and let the jury resolve if it’s a hoax or actual.
