At some point after athletic director John Hartwell stepped down, UL Monroe named its head soccer coach, Bryant Vincent, as his short-term alternative.
Vincent will function interim athletic director as he enters his second season teaching the Warhawks on the gridiron.
“I’m grateful to Bryant for stepping as much as function interim AD. Not solely is Bryant a pacesetter, however he builds groups and communities,” UL Monroe president Dr. Carrie L. Castille mentioned in an announcement. “Bryant has the help of the Affiliate ADs and will likely be working intently with them to make sure he can serve each roles and win video games. He has already gained the help of this neighborhood as a head coach, and I hope that everybody will be part of me in rallying round him to help ULM Athletics. I’ve little doubt in Bryant’s potential to serve in each roles with excellence and a profitable spirit.”
Within the meantime, the college will launch a nationwide seek for a full-time athletic director.
Vincent, 49, took over at UL Monroe forward of the 2024 season and helped the Solar Belt program go 5-7 — the Warhawks’ finest season since an identical 5-7 file in 2019. This system is 15-43 this decade and final made a bowl recreation in 2012.
