To the editor: What if Russia illegally, and with out provocation, invaded Florida, claiming that it by no means belonged to the U.S. (“U.S. peace plan favoring Russia darkens the temper throughout war-torn Ukraine,” Nov. 23)? And what if, after years of struggle with many civilian casualties and destruction of infrastructure, world leaders drew up a peace plan that ended the struggle however completely gave Russia all of southern Florida? Would this be OK with President Trump?
This state of affairs is taking part in out in actual time with Ukraine. Russian President Vladimir Putin will get the land he needs, stops Ukraine from becoming a member of NATO and constructively makes Ukraine a vassal to Russia. As Gen. Anthony McAuliffe famously stated: “Nuts!”

To the editor: Trump’s peace deal is unacceptable to People as a result of it instantly undermines European safety. It mocks the generations of People who first fought, then paid so generously, for a peaceable, democratic Europe. Please don’t let our nationwide identification settle for this dishonor. Write to your senators!
An appropriate negotiation entails admitting Ukraine to NATO as quickly as it’s prepared, securing occupied Ukrainian territory for Ukraine, persevering with U.S. sanctions on Russia till it pays reparations for its wartime damages and crimes and making a NATO-implemented buffer zone between Ukraine and Russia.
