The Trump administration is suspending immigrant visa processing for 75 nations, the State Division stated Wednesday.

The State Division claimed that immigrants from the nations on the checklist — together with Afghanistan, Brazil, Egypt and Somalia — “take welfare from the American folks at unacceptable charges.”

The transfer marks an escalation of the Trump’s administration’s crackdown on immigration, which has included deportations and freezes on visa purposes.

The Trump administration had already moved to restrict immigration from most of the nations included in Wednesday’s announcement.

In December, the administration halted immigration purposes from nationals of 19 nations. On Tuesday, the administration stated it was revoking non permanent protected standing for Somalis in the USA.
