European leaders launched a joint assertion Tuesday, outlining the significance of Arctic safety, however stressing that “Greenland belongs to its individuals,” hours after White Home deputy chief of workers for coverage Stephen Miller stated it was “the formal place of the U.S. authorities… that Greenland needs to be a part of the US.”

On Monday, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen stated an American navy transfer to grab management of Greenland would quantity to the tip of the NATO navy alliance.

They stated any U.S. assault on Greenland “would tragically be an assault on NATO.”

“We have already got entry to every part we may wish from Greenland,” the 2 lawmakers stated, noting that Denmark’s authorities has already given the U.S. permission to deploy extra navy forces there, or to construct extra missile protection infrastructure on the island.
