To the editor: One other headline for this story may very well be, “President Trump fires competent authorities official as a result of he didn’t like her correct jobs report” (“A raging Trump digs in on his commerce conflict, fires official after brutal jobs report,” Aug. 1). Or, as some say, he’s taking pictures the messenger as a result of he doesn’t like seeing job numbers that mirror a broken financial system.
Erika McEntarfer is a profession civil servant recognized for her professionalism and accuracy who has labored as a labor economist for the federal authorities for twenty years and was accredited as commissioner of the Bureau of Labor Statistics by the Senate in a bipartisan 86-8 vote. Even present Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio voted for her.
Dismissing information, info {and professional} opinions, Trump asserts the numbers are “faked.” This view and strategy by a president are very harmful. The federal government’s reliance on the numerous competent profession staff who report on present and growing information in so many areas of significance, from medical information to army data, is jeopardized by Trump’s self-serving fictions.

To the editor: What did Trump assume would occur when he despatched an oligarch with a metaphorical “chain noticed” to eviscerate federal businesses? Reply: Lots of people are out of labor. An disagreeable statistic.
What did Trump assume would occur when he despatched troops of masked brokers into Southern California to largely take brown-skinned folks, with out due course of, from our streets? Reply: a large lack of staff within the meals trade, elder care, baby care, building and extra. One other disagreeable statistic.
Trump’s obvious answer: rent a brand new spokesperson for the Bureau of Labor Statistics, one who is aware of tips on how to lie in MAGA converse.
