Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, on Saturday endorsed Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas, after the conservative congressman introduced his candidacy to turn out to be the Lone Star State’s subsequent lawyer normal.

Roy made the announcement in a marketing campaign video shared on X, saying he strives to protect the state’s legacy of “liberty, freedom and self-determination.”
